Day by day

7 days, with a minimum of three points planned for each.

Day 1Arrival & orientation
  • Arrive in Bali, transfer to accommodation and complete a safety / cultural orientation.
  • Introduce local customs, transport patterns and the environmental learning focus of the route.
  • Evening group meal and briefing establish expectations for respectful community visits.
Day 2Ubud culture
  • Explore Ubud’s arts, craft and cultural economy through a guided town and community route.
  • Visit selected galleries, workshops or heritage spaces depending on the confirmed local program.
  • Use a structured observation task to connect culture with creative entrepreneurship.
Day 3Rice terraces & sustainability
  • Travel to a rice-terrace landscape to examine water management, farming and the Subak cultural system.
  • Discuss tourism pressure, land use and community benefit with the local guide.
  • Return via a village / food stop chosen for responsible visitor practice.
Day 4Community / social enterprise
  • Meet a community, NGO, school, social enterprise or sustainability project when a host is confirmed.
  • Participants complete a short problem-framing or storytelling exercise based on the visit.
  • Evening reflection focuses on ethical engagement and avoiding extractive volunteerism.
Day 5Nusa Dua / coastal learning
  • Move toward Nusa Dua or another confirmed coastal zone for marine / hospitality learning.
  • Use beach and tourism infrastructure to discuss resort development, waste, water and visitor management.
  • Allow supervised free time after the learning block.
Day 6Student challenge day
  • Teams build a short presentation or content piece from observations made across the route.
  • Add a cultural food / performance component where appropriate and responsibly sourced.
  • Final group showcase and feedback prepare participants for departure.
Day 7Departure
  • Check out, complete baggage / document checks and transfer to the airport.
  • Allow schedule buffer for Bali traffic and airline check-in requirements.
  • Digital feedback and post-tour learning material are shared after departure.
